The Roydhouse Street mixed-used building comprises eight residential apartments and a single commercial tenancy, constructed on the site of a former foundry within the industrial area of Subiaco.

The staged urban renewal of this area presented both a challenge and starting point for the design as it took into account two main considerations: providing the residential apartments with an internal focus as sanctuary from the present industrial context, and providing architecture which relates to both this current environment and a future urban landscape yet to be realised.
